My Story
Hello! I’m Shirley Brooks, the heart behind Save Bills. Originally from the vibrant city of Havana, Cuba, I’ve called the UK home for nearly two decades. After almost 3 years working at Metro Bank, I made a bold decision on February 3rd, 2025 and I stepped away from the corporate world to follow my dream of becoming self-employed.
Why? Because I’m passionate about helping people succeed.
Save Bills was born from a simple but powerful idea: life gets busy, and everyone deserves a helping hand—whether it’s for one hour, one day, or one ongoing project. I now work as a personal assistant to individuals, business owners and families who just need that little bit of extra support. From form-filling and appointment booking to organizing special occasions and handling day-to-day tasks, I’m here to make life easier and more joyful.
I bring my love for crafts, attention to detail, and a sprinkle of fun into everything I do. And because I know how tough it can be to navigate systems when English isn’t your first language, I proudly support the Latin American, Spanish community in Brighton—offering bilingual help to make things less stressful and more accessible.
